Austrian top junior sportsman in different fields: World, European and Austrian Champion in Winter Triathlon Xterra (Swimming, Mountainbiking, Cross Country Running) / Triathlon

Bibliography I started my sporting career when I was nine years old as an Alpine Skier. Although I live in Vienna and only spent the weekends and holidays in our house in the Alps I did quite well in a lot races.

Skiing in summer at the Hintertuxer glacier in Tyrol in the morning and biking in the afternoon was my typical training program. With the age of 14 I won my first mountainbike race series „Obersteirer-Cup” and won every single race. These successes motivated me to focus on mountainbike. The following years I usually took part nearly every weekend in a race. I won the great Austrian mountainbike series „Trek-MTB-Challenge” and „TOP Six”. Usually I finished within the top three in every race in my age group. Results:

• 2006 In my first racing season I already won the Styrian and Austrian Championships in Winter Triathlon.
• 2007 I became member of the Junior Austrian Mountainbike Team.
• 2007 were my first participations in International Winter Triathlon events: Silver Medal with the Austrian Junior relay at the World Championships in Italy.
• 2008 My first World Championships Gold Medal in Winter Triathlon with the Austrian junior relay in Germany (Freudenstadt).
• 2008 I founded my own mountainbike team – MTB Team ALPL.
