Very cold weather and rainy day was on 16.year of well-known mtb marathon King of Bohemia Forest (Kral Sumavy). Duratec Team had many racers in this mtb event. Paralympic winner Jiri Jezek started on trace 45km. Jiri with his handicap got fantastic 10. place in category MK1. We congratulate Jiri and all of racers from Duratec Team. The Czech cycling enthusiasts K. Tocl, F. Subrt, J. Parrus, Vala a Nerad following French and Italian cycling classics started this tradition in 1921. The length of 263 km long course became a measure of competitiveness of the riders at the time and also a way to promote Czechoslovakian cycling at the international level … It is the longest famous race in the Czech Republic.
